Wollaton Hall the Industrial museum and the Symthson centre form a monumental sequence of buildings in Wollaton Park.

The Symthson centre consists of a series of simple contemplative spaces.

    Individual tearoom terraces provide solar shading to the south elevation at the same time providing a choice of three views, to the walled garden, to the entrance route and to Wollaton park and lake.

The exhibition space can be expanded into the walled garden to provide additional external exhibition space.
