Garden of Mechatronics, Bionics and Artificial Life, Stoke-on-Trent

The project aimed to forge links between local industry and educational establishments (Staffordshire University, Stoke College and Keele University) providing research facilities and vocational training to the local community in diverse and interdisciplinary fields.

Creating an accessible and sustainable showcase that would encourage tourism and enhance the public perception of the region.

The project also aimed to be a catalyst for the growth of new and existing industries by allowing them to utilise the pioneering technologies employed in the garden for research and marketing purposes.

The project had ambitions of putting Stoke on Trent at the forefront of technical innovation adding to the social and economic regeneration of the potteries.
