The small project evolved out of another project looking at the way spaces and cities dictate the movement and behaviour of people thorough them. The intention of the project was to break up the grid adding fun, animation and life to the skyline of Chicago.

The waterslides start at the top of the Hancock tower and snake their way through the city. The slide was constructed from a variety of modular GRP sections, the simple set of angled sections can be combined together to make an infinitely complex three dimensional forms similar to a Scalextric track. Steel tensional wires attached to neighbouring buildings support structure above the city. Street view |

The slides eventually end up in a waterside cafe, enlivening a formally dead space within the city.
